Navigating the single life can sometimes feel like wandering through a jungle without a map, especially when loneliness creeps in like an uninvited guest. In this episode, Wioleta dives into the essence of self-affirmation, offering a treasure trove of insights that remind us that being single doesn’t equate to failure in love. She begins by sharing her own struggles with a home remodel that has clearly tested her patience, which is a relatable struggle for anyone who’s ever attempted a DIY project. With a casual tone and a sprinkle of humor, she invites us to reflect on our self-worth and the importance of setting high standards in our relationships, even when loneliness tries to convince us to settle for less. Wioleta presents a series of affirmations that are not only empowering but also serve as a gentle reminder that our value isn’t defined by our relationship status. Phrases like “I do not need a relationship to prove my worth” and “I choose peaceful solitude over a boring relationship” resonate deeply, encouraging listeners to embrace their singlehood with confidence. By the end of the episode, we’re left with the feeling that setting boundaries and holding on to our self-respect is crucial, especially in a world that often pressures us to pair up. Each affirmation acts as a beacon of clarity, urging us to prioritize ourselves and our emotional health over the urge to conform to societal norms. Through witty remarks and relatable anecdotes, Wioleta not only makes the content engaging but also reinforces the idea that we are not alone in our journey. She encourages listeners to come up with their own affirmations, promoting a personal connection to the material and leaving us with a sense of empowerment to tackle our week ahead and our single lives with renewed vigor.

Do you hold your standards even when you feel lonely?

Speaker A:

Hi, welcome back.

Speaker A:

Or welcome, if you're new here, to All About Being Single.

Speaker A:

I'm your host, Violeta.

Speaker A:

I know if you've listened to the last few episodes.

Speaker A:

I have been trying to finish up a home remodel which has literally been just a horrible last month and a half.

Speaker A:

And I'm recording this on Memorial Day, like in the evening.

Speaker A:

So this episode will not be edited probably at all.

Speaker A:

So I do apologize for the quality if it's not that great.

Speaker A:

But I do want to record something and I hope that you had a lovely Memorial Day weekend.

Speaker A:

So what I want to do for today is give you some single life affirmations.

Speaker A:

So if you don't do affirmations, I definitely recommend just doing some.

Speaker A:

Not as many as I'm going to give you today.

Speaker A:

But it's always just a good idea to tell yourself something that you really need to hear or something that you wish somebody else could tell you sometimes.

Speaker A:

So I'm going to go ahead and give you about 20 of them.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So here they are.

Speaker A:

I am not failing at love because I am single.

Speaker A:

I do not need a relationship to prove my worth.

Speaker A:

I choose myself without giving up on love.

Speaker A:

I deserve reciprocity, not confusion.

Speaker A:

I trust that loneliness is temporary and I will not settle.

Speaker A:

I am safe even when my mind treats singleness like an emergency.

Speaker A:

I understand that some people are lonely in relationships too.

Speaker A:

I recognize that attention is not the same as love.

Speaker A:

I do not need to convince someone to choose me.

Speaker A:

I choose peaceful solitude over a boring relationship.

Speaker A:

I know chemistry without consistency is chaos.

Speaker A:

I can miss someone and still know they are not right for me.

Speaker A:

I value consistent care over occasional attention.

Speaker A:

I hold my standards even when I feel lonely.

Speaker A:

I require clarity and do not chase confusion.

Speaker A:

I accept that closure can be behavior, not conversation.

Speaker A:

I release romanticizing confusion and choose clarity.

Speaker A:

I protect my self respect instead of avoiding loneliness.

Speaker A:

I do not build relationships on breadcrumbs or potential.

Speaker A:

I accept that not every connection is meant to become a relationship.

Speaker A:

I do not chase emotionally unavailable people to prove my worth.

Speaker A:

I learned from red flags instead of ignoring them for fantasy.

Speaker A:

Okay, that's that.

Speaker A:

Thanks so much for listening.

Speaker A:

I do want to leave you with a glow up for this week and that is to come up with at least one affirmation for yourself.

Speaker A:

Surrounding or not surrounding but like about your single life.

Speaker A:

So something that really relates to you being single and maybe something that you don't want to keep doing anymore that you've done to get into relationships or while staying in relationships, or just something that doesn't even have anything to do with relationships, but just anything that deals with your single life.

Speaker A:

So just, you know, write it down someplace, maybe in, like, your notes app, and just.

Speaker A:

Just someplace where it's convenient so that you can go back to it and maybe say it out loud to yourself each day, or write it down each day, or just think about each day.

Speaker A:

Whatever.

Speaker A:

Whatever works for you.

Speaker A:

But anyhow, that's all, really, that I'm going to do for today.

Speaker A:

Thanks so much for listening.

Speaker A:

Again, I know these last few episodes have been kind of just odd and not necessarily what I want for the show all the time, but it's just been so much.

Speaker A:

It's just been so much work and.

Speaker A:

And I'm really just trying to finish up this home remodel because I'm just so overwhelmed with it.

Speaker A:

Again, it's been ongoing for, like, five and a half years, and I. I just need to.

Speaker A:

Just need to finish the last few things, and I'm just working so hard every day to just finish it essentially over the next, like, month or so.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Again, thanks for being here with me.

Speaker A:

I really, really appreciate it.

Speaker A:

That's it?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That's all.

Speaker A:

Thanks so much for listening, and I will talk to you next Tuesday.
